RT's Family Restaurant-Hillbilly Bowl

This week we are having pizza in Kimberling City at RT's Family Restaurant and Hillbilly Bowl.
This restaurant is an all in one for anyone staying close to Kimberling City, its a restaurant, bar and bowling.  Perfect for families looking for entertainment and food, especially if its a rainy day and you cannot go do outdoor activities.  RT's has a full menu which is excellent but don't miss out on their fantastic pizza.  Have eaten there several times in both small and large groups, staff has always been friendly and prompt. If you coming back from a day in Branson or Silver Dollar City and you dont feel like making dinner or dinning in, you can always get pizza to go.

Foodie Friday Florentina's Ristorante Italiano

Its Foodie Friday, looking for some where to eat out at for lunch or dinner?
Well if you feel like Italian, look no further than Florentina's.
Located in the heart of Branson, right across from Dinosaur Canyon mini golf.   This restaurant has great atmosphere and consistently good wait staff. I have been going to Florentinsa's for several years and always leave happy.  They bring you fresh baked bread with olive oil and herbs, its so delicious.  They have some great options on their menu. Brick oven pizza, salads,  and tons of pasta options.  Some of our favorites are: Shrimp Alfredo, Penne ala vodka, garlic shrimp parmesan risotto, and baked ravioli.   The price is close to what you would pay at a Olive Garden or Red Lobster, but worth better taste.  The portions are very generous, I usually have more than enough to take home and have lunch the next day.  The only downside to this restaurant is that the best dish they had, they no longer serve.  It was called Basa Florinta and it was just mouth watering.  My whole family would go to dinner and half of us would order this dish, but for some reason they pulled it off the menu.  They now serve Pesce Florinta, which is the same dish but with "white fish" and its just not they same.  Luckily there are plenty of other wonderful options to try. Definitely a must try if you are in Branson.

Foodie Friday Danna's BBQ

Its Foodie Friday!
Looking for a good local place to eat while visiting the Branson / Table Rock Lake area? Look no further if you're in the mood for BBQ and burgers.
One of my favorite places to go is Danna's BBQ. I'm from Kansas City and I absolutely love there sauces.  The service and atmosphere are always great! My family and I have being going to Danna's for over a year now and we cannot get enough if we are down for a long weekend or a whole week we will make a stop at Danna's more than once! We have tried it all from salads, burgers, sandwiches, platers and even desert. You just cannot go wrong with any of these great options. Here are some of our top picks are:

Autumn Burger:
fried onion strings on top of 6oz. patty with chipolte mayo, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheese

 Fat Burger:
6oz. patty served on a toasted bun with a fried egg, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and miracle whip.
Piggy Melt:
pulled pork served on rye bread topped with grilled onions, american cheese and swiss cheese. Absolutely mouth watering!
Catfish sandwich:
a fillet of Catfish deep fried to perfection and served with french fries

DIY 4th of July door wreath

DIY 4th of July door wreath
Its almost that time of year again and everyone needs a little 4th of July celebration in their life. So hears a simple and cheap how to.
What you will need:
One wreath (I used a styrofoam) $6.99
Two 9 ft 4th of july garlands  on sale for $2.50
Large bow for the bottom $3.00
Cute dollar store add ons I ended up using the USA with ribbon  $1.00
Green floral wire $2.50 and jewelry plier or any pliers that will cut
Use the floral wire to attach the garland to the wreath,
I used two strands to make sure the whole wreath was covered.
Ive found for cheap decorations for holiday there are two place to go:
Your local dollar store and Target!
Most Targets have there own dollar sections to get some great goodies

I attached my bow with the floral wire,
then I used my glue gun to attach the  top of my bow
to the wreath so that they will stay up and not droop.
Now all you need to do is to wrap some wire around the back to hang from the door hook and you are ready for a festive fourth!
